We are the worst team in the nation. This program is just flat out awful. I'm glad Angelos and Walty decided to keep Howard around for one more season…

When I drafted the contract I guess I put one too many years in there.  Again, we wouldn't have this board or be 0-5 or have a football team if it wasn't for HS…I am grateful for that so I defend him.

But you're right, just like FSU did we need to get rid of HS like Bowden and get the next coach in there so we can win again….oh wait, is that how that worked out for them?

FSU has lost to two top ten teams  and another soon to be ranked team with a back up QB awful point.

FSU is supposed to be a top 10 team that beats those teams.  And a bad QB??? Sound familiar?

Last time I checked Wake Forest wasnt top 10

Ask any FSU fan if at this point they care how the whole Bowden situation played out, because simply they don't. FSU hadn't been to a BCS or major bowl game since 2005 and after years of frustration they cut ties. Jimbo comes in and things change right away. They go to the Chick-Fila bowl and  beat UF for the first time in six years, while bringing in a great recruiting class off the field. That's what makes fans happy, because when it's February they can sit on their message boards and talk about how the program is taking steps forward, not backwards.

Let me give you another example of a bad break-up, South Florida. Jim Leavitt is and should be a legend on that campus, he put the program on the map and led them to a #2 ranking. But after years and years of not taking steps forward and settling for bottom tier bowls, they found an easy way out and embarrassed the man claiming he struck a player. Guess what? I wish our coach would do things like that. So then the athletic department goes out and hires Holtz. The next season they win 8 games and beat Clemson in a bowl. This season they are ranked and already won at Notre Dame.

Stuff like that is what makes fans happy.

I get it. It would have been a bad break up, but this has the potential to be even worse. Did you see Howard's post game comments? I don't even know if he was at the right game.

Do you realize on Novermber 26th when we play UAB there is a very good chance it could be the (0-10) Owls vs. the (0-11) Blazers in the toilet bowl? That is embarrassing.

Re: state of the program

I do understand that this years on field play has been embarassing.  Howerver, I have been with this program since day 1.  Been here when we were playing at Pro Player and the cost of renting the stadium was bringing on talk of closing the program.  Now we have a $70 million stadium opening and the infrastructure to be sucessful for years to come…which to me is more important than the record this year.

I also grew up a Michigan fan, I watched all the fans boo Lloyd Carr out and cheer as Rich Rodriguez came in and then destroy the programs reputation.  I have watched programs much more established than ours such as UF this year and last, FSU, Miami, USC, UCLA, Colorado and Texas last 2 years falter.  I understand that college football, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, has ups and downs and I choose to support our program in both phases.  I feel that is what a fan should do.

Also, I do care about doing things the right way.  I think respecting the man who brought the program to our school deserves to be treated a certain way…I am sorry if you or others dont agree.

He is gone after this year, it has been announced…its not being debated.  We should as fans support him this last year for all the things he has done for us as FAU alumni and see him out in a classy fashion in my opinion.

We have had terrible QB play this year…That's no excuse….If it's not good enough for Howard, it's not good enough for Jimbo Fisher either….let's be objective here….We have lost to a bunch of ranked teams too….
