You probably already know this but just in case you don't, a "parliament" is a group of owls.

Nice touch!

Now, we just need to settle on it and let the tradition take hold…….

There is a Parliament already that recognizes alumni, this should be named something else.

I'm sure some academicians came up with that name. Just doesn't have a ring to it:

"Hey dude, let's get to The Parliament before kickoff."

I thought "The Island" would have went well with the Paradise theme.  And the student section is by itself like an island and surrounded by palm trees.  I think they could have had some cool marketing around that IMO.

When I think of Parliament, two things come to mind, George Clinton, and the infamous gay bar in Orlando.  I hope they play a lot of P-funk at the games now.  Can we re-live PCU?  where's Gutter?

New Student Tailgate & First Flight Football Field Walk

FAU Stadium

New students are invited to have their “first flight” and eat some great tailgate food at this new FAU tradition. Take flight as you get to walk into the Stadium, take pictures near the field and welcome your team to the Stadium. You’ll be the first to sit in the Student section, so you’ll have a great seats to cheer on your OWLS to Victory!




Would be cool if freshmen could form the sides of the "human funnel" that the team runs through from the inflatable helmet onto the field. Talk about a defining moment of your freshman year.
