MAC only has three bowl ties and got all seven (7) of the teams in, even 6-6 CMU! Benson ran the WAC into the ground and I beleive he will do the same in the Belt. The MAC lobbied hard and VERY publicly for their guys, did anyone EVER hear of what the Belt was doing?

To be fair, cmu is playing a 'Belt team, so it's not like we could have had another 'Belt team instead of them.

That is true in that case but the MAC did get all 7 eligible teams in games. Even considering they get an extra spot for the N. IL. "miracle" BCS birth plus their three tie-ins, they still worked to get the three others in a game.
And man, when you look at how "unbalanced" the MAC has become, talk about the haves and have nots, we would have won at MINIMUM 4 (UMASS, Akron, E. Mich and Buffalo) up to 7 (C. Mich., W. Mich, Ball St.) conference games with their schedule. Add in UT-Martin, Army and Kansas and we have 7-10 wins.

If its only the 1 Million dollars, ( and there could be more to this than that) I wonder if FAU could use the 500K that ADT put towards athletics for it.

Among the many things I do not understand in life: 1. If FAU gets out of the Sun Belt early, what happens to the 2013 sked? How many C-USA games, and how many OOC game slots would be left? 2. If FAU doesn't join C-USA until 2014, how many conference games that year, and how many OOC slots would be left? 3. Has anyone seen the proposed C-USA division lineups for 2013 and 2014?  Meanwhile, I hope the Owls get out of the Sun Belt sooner rather than later. This is like a divorce – once you have decided, why stick around (if you can afford the split)? It would  be better for the Sun Belt, as well.
