Sun Belt Team of the Decade is....

Troy. (Deseverdly so)

BUT………

FAU comes in 4th place with a 21-15 record and 1 conference championship.

FAU is also in 1st place for Bowl Record of the decade with a 2-0 record.

Its truly amazing what FAU has accomplished so far. I know were all upset with the stadium issues and concerned about the team this year but what a ride we've had so far!

Consider that when this decade started we didn't even HAVE a football team

Sun Belt Conference Team of the Decade…

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Re: Sun Belt Team of the Decade is....

Troy has been the team to beat and this year is more of the same. But Troy will be tested to remain there as thier "over-recruiting" is going to come to an end ANd they now have to share recruiting in Alabama, Ga and Miss with the new program at South Alabama. Between the two, it will begion to show very very soon.

As for this year, yes Troy and MTSU are favored but very little is being made of the fact that both have new O coordinators AND MTSU also has a new D coordinator. Many time these changes take time to work out , if they even do! They will both struggle more than most think!

Can't argue with Troy as the Pick.  What matters is who is going to be the pick going forward for the next decade and if that is not the Owls (if we get the stadium built next year) I would be surprised.

GO OWLS!

Re: Sun Belt Team of the Decade is....

Troy signs more players from Florida each year than any other I-A program, and many players from Georgia and other southern states. USA will have little impact on Troy recruiting. The Trojans will probably continue to go head-to-head with MTSU more than with USA.
