I am going to miss the rivalry.

You know what, all smack talking and joking aside, the FIU games have always added a spark to the schedule.

Will miss that…….

:'(
I will too. Despite what many of my fellow Panthers think, I definitely view FAU as our rival and will miss the games. I've actually decided not to tailgate for this game. Our miserable failure of a season has sucked all my desire to spend eight hours preparing to lose out of me. I'll probably show up a couple hours early and hang out at the Alumni tent. A win by FIU Friday would somewhat redeem this season for me. A loss, well, I guess I should be used to it.

Just out of curiosity HOOTERHATER, are you expecting many of your FIU brethren to come up for the game?

Only the die-hards,  of which there aren't many. Outside of the Greeks I doubt many students show,  either. If we bring 1000 total I'll be shocked.

Re: Tailgating Questions

Is anyone out at the tailgate that can provide some pictures and fill us in if it is a success or not?

Sounds like ESPN760 is going to give the Rats Mouth some love here in a few minutes.

Totally excited for what @ESPN760 is doing for the #FAU Student Tailgate today! Can't let you guys go hungry!

I wonder if #FAU tailgaters would be interested in some @Panerabread bagels courtesy of @ESPN760? pic.twitter.com/rQTe1I9x

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Re: Tailgating Questions

Sounds like Pat Chun and Cocach Pelini were out last night with the Students.

Thank you coach pelini and @pat_chun for the cookies last night…go #Owls

Folks, THIS is how you get the students excited for football. This whole shula bowl has been done just about perfect from a hype perspecitve.

Agreed! Good to see coach and AD Chun both stopped by and also mad props to ESPN 760 for getting food for those people who tailgated overnight. I hope the school sees that this has been successful and no one got hurt or out of control and they do this again for a basketball game or make a tradition. Every year, we have 1 game in which students tailgate for 24 hours

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: Tailgating Questions

Mad props to:
- SGA for putting this 24-hour tailgate together
- Pelini/Chun for the cookies and stopping by to encourage the students
- ESPN760 for a great breakfast

I saw that there was a little bit of rain last night to start off the tailgate
plus a comedy show on campus
but according to April Turner, SGA VP, there were about "600 people at 1 am and ~17 at 9 am."

If the party isn't rocking again by now, it will be soon!
