before u assume that AC HILL is leaving…which he was going to…i cant really go into detail…but he is still enrolled and is in 2 of my classes…hmm…i know…but could that be an indicater of his return next fall…i would think so..ha..there will be an announcement on his eligibility when spring practice begins…GO OWLS

I was not aware of that. Still, I would be VERY surprised in Shnellenberger allowed him back on your team considering what Hill was involved in.

Treat him right up there in Blue Raider Country.. ;)

RECRUITING

Jefferson's Suber To Middle Tenn. State

A Tribune staff report
Published: Jan 28, 2005

Jefferson senior running back Alex Suber has verbally committed to play for Middle Tennessee State University.
Suber chose the Blue Raiders over San Diego State, Indiana and USF.

``They have been there since Day One. I liked them and San Diego State, but it seemed like I had a better chance to play there [Middle Tennessee State],'' Suber said. ``It seemed like they wanted me more, and I really felt comfortable with the school.''

Last season, Suber rushed 231 times for 1,817 yards, 18 touchdowns and led Jefferson to its second state championship appearance in three years.

In three seasons, Suber rushed 579 times for 3,934 yards and 34 TDs and had 57 receptions for 939 yards and 11 touchdowns.

We will definitely need quality depth at the runningback position. We have Eugene Gross coming back, but we also have J.K. Sabb, HOWEVER, the runningback spot is always one of those where it's hard to keep a player at 100%.

North Texas knows what I'm talking about. They never had Cobbs and Thomas in at the same time. When Thomas couldn't play, Cobbs was in, but then Patrick Cobbs got injured before during the FAU game. And without him or Jamario Thomas, UNT spun off three more losses to FAU, Colorado, and Baylor before Thomas' return against Middle Tennessee in which they won. But Cobbs was out for the season.

So the runningback position is one where we need reliable stars to rotate in and out to make sure all our guys stay healthy.

He spoke very highly of your coaches. I don't know who is the Florida recruiter but he should be commended for this one. Most thought sure he'd choose San Diego State. His mom's ability to see him(Tenn vs Cali) also played a part.

I've never seen this much recruiting out of the state of Florida in our 1-A tenure. Eddie Brown, a widereceiver, out of Jacksonville, FL Arlington Country Day School has also committed to Middle Tennessee.

Coach McCollum is there at every recruiting visit. I think Mac usually takes the assistant with him that coaches the position that the recruit will play as.

Is anyone else around here tired of this thread? Seems like a lot of hype for a mid-level talent.

I'm sure he's a solid player, but I seem to remember FAU doing alright against Big Brother Suber.

I need to ask, are you playing devils advocate here? Alex and Allen are brothers, but they are two different people. Alex may never reach Allen's success(Houston Texans) or he may even surpass it.

1st time we played BCC: We won by 3pts. TJ scored on the 99 yard fumble recovery. We batted down two shots at the endzone and they missed a FG as time expired.

2nd time we played: We lost. We were winning 17-9 with under 5 minutes left in the game before Allen singlehandedly took over the game and drove or ran up and down the field for the BCC win.

3rd time playoff game: We knocked Allen out early in the game. He was a non-factor in the final outcome.

Hint about subject matter: That's why we name the threads. Choices of what we want to read. Personally I'd never click on a Hockey thread.
