Texas Trip Recaps

Most of the game if I wasn't standing on the bleachers in front of me I couldn't see what was going on. I'm 5'10" and I couldn't see a damn thing. I watched a lot of the game from the jumbotron too. I wish we could have this problem at home games lol.

the Texas-Fight thing they yelled reminded me of Orange-Blue at UF but much cooler cuz UF sucks lol. Kinda hard to do something like that at lockhart. I told Nunzio he could stand in 1 endzone and yell GO and I would stand in the other and yell Owls haha.

ya not to sound like an a$$ but i had some texas fans ask me to sit during warm-ups…..i did but i told them come start of the game i didnt fly 1200 miles to sit…..and im a big guy…..so anyone sitting behind me…sorry! but the jumbo tron was the best seat in the house!

What about the FAU fans that also drove or flew 1200 miles and sat behind you. Do they not have just as much right to be able to see the game if they choose to sit?

Re: Texas Trip Recaps

Overall, the trip was great. Yes, a "W" would have made it better, but I learned a lot on the trip. Football is so much more than pads and helmets, it's marketing, advertising, etc. What I particularly like to pay attention to, is what on-field promotions the other schools do, what chants they do, and how they organize their student body, their tailgates and the overall game day experience.

By far, Texas is the best all-around athletics university event I have ever attended.

Definitely need to work on some original chants & traditions

Yes, maybe so. But remember that a lot of the schools we are playing have half-centuries and centuries worth of existence.

If we stick with wearing blue at football games, I'd like to see the wave started so the stadium (when filled) is literally a BLUE WAVE.

UF yells Orange and Blue can't get anymore unoriginal then that. Eventually having 1 side yell GO and the other side yell back Owls isn't that bad. Texas yells "Texas-Fight" What are we going to yell "Boca-Bitches" lol

I'll help you guys out with that but I think a Red Blue chant would be more fun because we can draw out the Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue when we do it. We could try it with the students vs sideline seats on Saturday? The students out there: you're in charge of the first part, we'll pick up the second half over on the sidelines. Sound good?

We first need the people in attendance to make this even an option.
