After reading over all the posts & quotes, I am more positive then ever about us getting our stadium. The way I see it, the B.O.T. has no choice. We either get some sort of on campus stadium or dump the program all together…which I do not see happeing at all. The only question now is…Do we go ahead and lay the money out now for the new dome, or do we piss away a lot more money and build a temp. facility, that we are going to out grow within 5 - 10 years? Hopefully, they step up and choose the dome…a.k.a "THE OWLS NEST"

BOCA RATON – Florida Atlantic University's Board of Trustees will have a workshop on Nov. 7 to discuss an on-campus stadium, athletic director Craig Angelos said.
"Time is of the essence to make a call," Angelos said.

FAU ought to talk to Palm Beach County and the school district to partner on a 20,000- to 30,000-seat stadium on campus for all three entities to use. These three could also participate in the dome. The county - which has not had a true arena since the sale of the West Palm Beach Auditorium to the Jehova's Witnesses - could chip in tens ofmillions of dollars. An arena is needed and plans for one pop up every couple of years. The south county high schools could use it for regional game and even state playoffs could be hosted there.

Troy's stadium is set up that waym (with Pro Turf), with the local school system and state playoffs using it weekly.

I just heard, also, of a plan to build a Marlins stadium in Pompano Beach. A few miles to the north and another partnership is possible.

Lockhart could be moved. I know that because Wellington High's stadium was once at Northshore High (now the middle school of the arts) in Mangonia Park.
