Havent' read the rest of the thread so excuse me if this has been addressed already.  The above description is what The Owl Club is for, they are the official booster group of FAU Athletics.

Yeah, I kinda tried to point that out…

Two different discussions.

What I do not get is my public high school had three different color pants and jerseys.

That is your tax dollars being put to good use… ;)

We do have a graphics art department right. Why can't they redesign the helmet logo?

Haha no way high schools are getting THAT much money, or at least I would hope not… ;)

What's wrong with our logo? It's the official FAU Athletics logo.

Re: The Owl's Nest Football Fundraiser Campaign

as a donator, one problem i will give you is they don't update your address at all. i've updated it 3 times and they still send it to an address i've haven't been at in years. I don't really care because i'm on campus maybe once a year. i've donated over the years and most recently i bought 2 lockers and signed a 5 yr contract last year. I feel like its up to me to pay, nobody ever follows up with me or anything. they've gotten better over the years but are still far from satisfactory in my opinion.

i also joined the owl club as a lifetime member. i hope they do something with the money that i'm not seeing because i don't see it.

i think they do a sh!t job with the corporate recruiters, seems like there should be a lot more. South Florida has so many private businesses, they should be doing a better job with that. Corporations are borrowing money at zero percent. ABC fau, ABC, Always Be Closing.

I know its the offical FAU logo, but with a new stadium, I'm thinking of maybe a fierce looking Owl head on the helmet. Just a suggestion. If someone else has any ideas?

I couldn't agree more with this post.  I am not a rich man but gave thousands to FAU this year…they sent my football tickets to an address I havent lived at since 2003!

Also, they obviously dont have the right people selling for them.  I have been saying that for ahwile.  The fact that the stadium naming rights are not sold is a sham.  Especially in this area.  Problem is, I dont think the University would spend the kind of money it would take to get a sales team in place.

I feel like Angelos is a good bean counter and knows how to work a budget and make cuts…I dont feel like he has a clue on how to generate revenue to the University.  That is something we desperately need changed.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

So is the consensus that a major personnel change or changes are needed?  If so, who?
