The spread Offense

Re: The spread Offense

The spread Offense

As a fan I love football, but I'll be the first to admit I don't know a lot of the technichal ins and outs of the game.  I have a basic understanding of the spread offense, and while I think Walty is right about us being late to the party, it's a party everyone's going to and we're just "fashionably late".  While it looks like our recruiting efforts have improved, I'm concerned about us building a team with half of the players signed for a pro-style game, and the other half signed for the spread.  I'd like to think that our pro-style guys could learn the new offense, but after watching this season I don't have a lot of faith in the learning department.  Also, some of the guys just might not fit into the new system.  However, I'm feeling pretty confident Coach P can make it work and I'm looking forward to seeing how the team progresses in practice.  No matter what I'm glad to see a change and looking forward to it.  GO OWLS!

Re: The spread Offense

I left class last night and noticed a lot of lights on in the press box. Wondering if the staff was working late?

Re: The spread Offense

I imagine they were tidying up and making sure things are in order.

Im sure there will be important people from around the Football world (Both college and Pro) and this is a great opportunity to show off the crown jewel.

Even if this isnt FAU's event, it is our facility they are using so its up to FAU to insure that everything is in working order.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.
