The Way to early prediction thread for 09.

@ Nebraska                35-20  L
@ UAB                        38-31  W
vs FCS Team                        W
@ South Carolina          38-17  L
vs Louisiana-Monroe      35-24  W
@ Troy                      31-27  W
vs Western Kentucky    38-24  W
@ Louisiana-Lafeyette  31-21    W
vs Middle Tennessee    31-30    L
@ North Texas            42-17  W
vs Arkansas State        21-17  W
@ Florida International  38-31  W

I think 4 games could easily go either way. Unfortunately they are all conference games.

Best case scenario 10-2. Worst case scenario 6-6. I think FAU will actually be somewhere in the middle at 7-5.

GO OWLS!!!

For some reason (and I've been wrong every season leading up to this one), I think we steal a win from Nebraska.

If something like that were to happen, I have a feeling like we would then turn around and lose some infinitely stupid and embarassing game. Like we'd beat Nebraska and then fall to, say, UAB.  This just seems to be our luck so far.

As much as I'd love a 9-3 season, I went high last time so I'm going to low ball and say 6-6 with the hope of being proven very wrong.

UAB has gotten a LOT better.

They had a turnaround close to what we had at the end of the year and picked up some JUCO talent.

Its not a gimmie by any means.

FIU - Will be as close as last year, especially at their place

Oh yeah, forgot about that…it is there…

We still will have a few thousand fans easily, so should be able to take away form the "home advantage" a little bit…

I agree!
We have shown a better attendance even at their house. This should be a home game for FAU.
I know they are getting better and they might win this one, but we are gonna make them feel what is like to support a team.

go owls!
