There's always a disappointment...

I know that we lost some scholarships for 2008–but were we affected by this into 2009 at all?  We, as well as many other schools lost a few scholarships because of academic violations–hopefully this was a one year deal????  Just a thought!

I feel bad for the kid, but if he really only has interest from one D-III school, he should not be getting a look from FAU.

Well look at that QB that Spurrier offered… Andrew Clifford… the rest of the schools going after him weren't big time schools.

Then came an offer from the SEC. Talk about random.

I get what you are saying, but not big time schools and D-III programs are two very different things. The Clifford kid had interest from 5 1A schools; South Carolina, USF, UCF, UAB, and Nebraska.

Maybe the kid who was hoping to play for FAU has the talent to play at FAU, but for some reason not a single 1A, 1-AA, or II was showing interest in him. That leads me to believe that he probably isn't a 1A talent.

He only had an 'offer' from a D-III school.  He had interest from other schools, including FCS teams.

He really wanted to play for us and that is the kind of player we want, unfortunately (or not maybe) we are now a good enough team that we can pick and choose.  Its all part of maturing as a football team.

He will survive, maybe play Juco, and who knows maybe he'll be playing at Troy in a few years to get his revenge on us.

Crap.

Offer him!

D-III schools don't offer anything. They are non-scholarship.

Halfway true, they package "Academic" Scholarships to students that serve as athletic scholarships.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.
