yah the bus trip for the students is mad cheap……96 bucks…..i wish that they had that option for alumni…..
i really think the alumni association is making a mistake by offering a charter flight for a ridiculous amount of money… i think a bus would be MUCH better… i'm a student, but i'd pay a little extra for the alumni bus so i could get some of my family to go with me on it

I also agree that Bus charters should be made available, as a cost effective alternative - it is important to get AS MANY people there is it not? So, why not make both available & let fans choose their means or transportantion.

Student bus option will be full. We are taking 3 buses 1 for the Davie/Jupiter/Treasure coast campus and the other 2 for Boca Campus. Students will start the line tomorrow at 4:00pm and I am sure all the buses will be filled.
How many does each bus hold?
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Re: Ticket sales...
150 Students on Busses
200 FAU bought tickets for donors.
50 FAU Message Board members
So about 400 that we "know" of.
Anyone know how the charter is looking?
Im REALLY starting to think were gonna have less then 1000 there, which makes me sad.

i dont think it will be that low…2k is realistic though…
Ted Hutton is giving an update on his evening post tonight for official "sold" count…of course this will include the above…we shall see…
We are so young, we dont have the travelling base yet…it is gonna take some time to develop…….
Plus the time of year doesnt help…
Good thing is there should be 30k+ Alums, and 20k+ "Family, Friends and Fans" watching on TV at least! We'll just "imagine" that Happy Thought when we see the stands…kind of like they are all there
(ok, it is a stretch, but im trying! lol)

I think we'll definately have over 1000. Not that that is a good number or anything, but according to what i've read on the Memphis board, it looks like they will only have around 2000-3000 at most….and they are within driving distance. According to Ted's blog today, the atheltic department says they have sold around 600 tickets so far. Assuming that the 150 or so from the student buses, the 200 donor tickets, and band(50 people?) aren't included in that number, that would be 1,000 right there. Also, what about the family of the players? We are bringing all 113 players, I think you'll get at least 200 of their family members to come to the game. Plus there is still time to sell more tickets(I still haven't bought mine yet, but i'll be there!). Considering how we struggle to draw fans at home games off campus, the timing of the game(4 days before Christmas), and the expense of getting to NO, if we can get a traveling party of about 1500-2000, that would be good with me. I wish there were more people coming, but the excuses I've heard are legit. I have friends who really want to go, but just can't becuase of work or family obligations. But whatever…I know i'll have a good time watching the Owls beat Memphis…regardless of the number of people in the crowd!
