Ticket Scalping for the UM@FAU game

Post

Dang OC , that's harsh. Walty is right. I hope we keep it tight. But  , I don't know how our guys will perform. I'm guessing -26.5. Sorry.

If we lose by 20 that would be a slap in the face of pure embarrassment.

We're talking about what we "think" the line will be, not the outcome of the game.

We are playing a 6-7 ACC costal team who lost a lot of starters.
It's a short week which is always an advantage to the home team and the underdog.
It will be our most anticipated game in history.
If we lose by 20 that would be a slap in the face of pure embarrassment.
If we lose by 3 Touchdowns to this UM team who don't think will win 5 games this year.
The entire staff should be unemployed by sunrise.

Well…save all of your money and bet against the Vegas line that comes out because it will be greater than 20 points.

First, last years results dont have anything to do with this years Miami team.  Remember that 2012 Auburn team that went 3-9 and then drummed us 45-10 on its way to the national championship game the very next year?  I sure do, I booked tickets to that game thinking..."Auburn was 3-9 last year, we have a chance"...I almost called the cops to stop that game it was so bad.

Recruiting wise, UM is still superior to us.  They have the more talented roster, we will have to overcome that.  Few bad bounces that lead to turnovers…you know as well as I do we could lose by 30 points.

This Miami team couldn't sniff that Auburn team.
Also that 3-9 Auburn team got rid of their awful coach.
This UM team might have the most clueless coach in the country.
In 2013 we lost to a 9-4 UM team by 29 and that was a 13 point game half way through the third.
We also played 3 QB's in that game.

I fell like a lot of the perception of this game has to do with "DA U".
Let me ask you guys if we're were playing let's say UVA would thought on the point spread be any different?

So are you saying a 3-9 CUSA team who lost a few guys should obviously be better than a 6-7 ACC team?

I will say the line will be about 23. Personally I hope the line is huge. Let Miami think it's a cake walk. And make us focus.

I'm buying my tickets the day at the ticket booth. (or scalpers)

Owls win by 4 or lose by 3. But don't quote me on this, I'm running on 8 hours of sleep since Friday and my judgement is clouded. I think I'm seeing noises.

GO OWLS!!!

With less than 1,700 remaining it seems inevitable that some people will either be turned away or have to scalp to get in.

been dreaming of the day when I see scalpers at a FAU home game for years….

The lowest price on stubhub has now gone from $46 to 49.97 and thats for 2nd level endzone seats and theres only 5 of those left, everything else is over $52

We bought scalped tickets when FAU played at Miami because it was faster than the ticket office which was literally the slowest experience I've ever had at a sporting venue.

IIRC it was $40 for nosebleed seats. Definitely not worth it especially since there were tens of thousands of open seats (and we lost so badly).

Phil Steele has Miami as his #1 most improved team in the country. Now I don't put much importance on any preseason polls or opinions, but I like Phil Steele.

Just sayin'. We all need to think about the importance of the Tulsa game first and then worry about Miami. I think we let our hearts control our thoughts. I have already fallen victim to that for about 14 years.

Some will say that the Tulsa game is not important because it is not a conference game. That's BS. It is a "W" that we can get and one we must get. We get Bowl eligible by getting to 6 wins. We have to win the games we should win or we are not going to get there.

Tulsa is a MUST win! Miami is a program changer. Let's take care of the business at hand, Tulsa, and then we can dream about Miami and what that would mean.

100 percent agree Tulsa is a must win for so many reasons.
1.We need a win going into out biggest home game.
2. We beat this team by 30 last year and they have a 1st year head coach and how bad would our progression look if we let a team turn around that fast on us.
3. We need to win on the road end of story.

I read all of Phil's stuff and he's over rated.
He's only buying UM because of Brad Kaya. That's a lot to put in a sophomore QB that bad poorly down the stretch last year.
I'm sorry, but UM is nothing like the Bama's Nebraska's or UGA's we played in the past like not even in the same ball park.
Throw in we are at home and it's a short week I expect a good game.

I like Charlie a lot and if you guys do then don't sit here and tell me a 21 point loss to UM is ok cause it's not.
