Tightends?

Re: Tightends?

Tightends?

My guess is the running back competition will be wide open.

I think the depth chart will look something like this.

1. Damian Fortner Rs-JR (Every down back)

2. Travis Jones Rs-JR (Scat back)
2. Xavier Stinson Rs-SR (Power back, blocking back)

3. Antonio Washington Rs-FR
3. Any of the freshmen recruited.

Remember Fortner had a big spring scrimmage last year rushing for 2 touchdowns.

Re: Tightends?

All together Montana State's tightends combined for 23 receptions, 273 yards and 5 touchdowns. Nexon Dorvilus and Alex Deleon would both have to bulk up a little bit (Deleon more than Nexon) for a more blocking type role, but I have no doubts that they wouldn't be able to adapt.

Well I think both are more made for stretching the field and those number have to go up because TE has been the most consistent position in the history of our program with the exception of last year due to poor QB play…..Deleon has a very slight frame but with the proper strength & conditioning the can pack on weight…. like    1 Alshon Jeffery WR 6-4 229 From usc……. hes the same height and with 3 more years left im sure he will get faster and more explosive  just imagine a 6'4  outside threat and big redzone target theres not 1 Cb in the sbc that will out jump the kid im not saying he's Megatron or Vincent Jackson but i believe he can be that type of big body thats split out wide and reeks havoc on opposing small corners

Re: Tightends?

i feel since we're going to the spread he's our biggest target why not use him as such….this guy catches anything thrown his way only if we had a QB he almost had 400 yards receiving his senior year in high school in a run dominated offense
