Troy threw away the game in the first half - giving up two blocked punts, a couple of long runs due to arm tackles and several long kick returns (special teams was a disaster).

But in the second half, Troy had its way with the Gators, scoring 17 consecutive points (24 total), moving the ball up and down the field and playing much tougher defense. The run defense still needs help, though.

Gators fans were not too happy with the second half, which Troy won 24-7. And the first teams played all game. Had Troy gotten a TD in the UF red zone during the third quarter and missed a FG, it might have gone down to the wire.

Troy gave up a good 28 points to clueless mistakes.

On a positive note, Gators fans said Troy brought more fans than any other team, including the SEC programs. And the Troy Sound of the South band simply destroyed the, well, simple Pride of the Sunshine.
