Godfrey was OFFERED by FSU, Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee and USF. If you can get a recruit that has serious interest from those types of programs you snatch him up!

He was recruited as a DB by all of these schools.  He's too short to play QB, he's like 5'10".  Also, there is rumors that he has serious "character" issues which is part of the reason he is being released.

Take him on a short leash as a DB or as a WR, otherwise, NO THANK YOU!

How about you answer this?  If he was being recruited by UM, FSU, USF & UT, why would he choose to go to UCF?  Think about that for a long, hard second or two.  It's called recruiting and the internet.  Most of what these kids say is not true nor are they actually being recruited by most schools they attach their names to.

Two Florida schools with a ton of titles between them, one SEC school and an up & comer in the Big East, but no, I'm going to play in C-USA.  That makes a ton of sense.

OK Sig Ep 77 the last time you tried to out wit FAU Delt about coaches becoming coordinators he made you look dumb.
Also on the point why he choose UCF well sometimes the smaller program like UCF  is able to steal one from big boys UCF is a good school with great faculties and im sure their coaches worked extra hard on this kid and was able to steal one and he has made a huge difference in their program he beat a school he was being recruited by in a bowl games. Maybe we should try that sometime.

Made me look dumb by providing mid to low level coaches that moved on in less than a year?  Ok, I'm glad.  I'm also glad he is the internet commando and has nothing better to do with his time.  Sure, some schools, mostly mid level schools, recruited him as a QB, but the schools that FAUDELT listed his offers from wanted him as a DB or WR.  You want proof?  You got it?

Maybe if you knew a thing about recruiting you would understand, but clearly you don't.  Feel good about "stealing one from the big boys", but I assure you, if he was that sought after as a QB he would have ended up at a BCS program.  Here's the proof or that statement: Denard Robinson.  Also, people so much thought he would be a DB at the next level, scout had him listed as a CB.  Here are his offers and what he decided.  All of the schools below wanted him as a DB and I bet USF & UCF would have taken him as a QB, however, he went on to play where an elite & storied program let him play QB.

Denard was probably the BEST spread option QB the year he came out and had offers from MAJOR D1 programs, including the almighty Urban Meyer.  He chose Michigan, why because he was able to play QB, not DB.  He chose another MAJOR program, not some second rate, second tier school.  There's the logic, there's a school "stealing" a player.

Pretty sure I proved ya wrong here. I don't want to read into some quotes about what Godfrey's thoughts are.

Point is he WAS BEING RECRUITED to be a QB at all of those schools (YES Miami, FSU, etc.). He choose UCF because he wanted too. He is a good QB, better than any QB on this roster. IF you looked at it from a recruiting standpoint, he would be better than any QB we could bring in.

And to your snab at me about how I didn't prove you wrong about coaches? Um Al Groh went from head coach at Virginia to D-coordinator at Ga Tech. But your right I just threw a bunch of "low to mid level schools" out there.
