I don't think any QB on the roster this year will be a serious option at the position (maybe some stay on and switch to another position, but most will likely be gone).  Plus, Godfrey will have to sit out this year and then have 2 seasons left.  Let's say German starts this year.  He and Godfrey compete for the job in 2013…then it's Godfrey's job in 2014….then Kane or Flessner would have 2-3 years of eligibilty left to start if they redshirt.  Also, in the new system, the QB will be running more and that means potentially more injuries, so more quality QB depth is a priority.

This would be a great problem….and this is how you recruit and avoid the disaster we saw in 2011! ;D

Yeah why would we want the CONF USA freshman of the year that led UCF to a top 25 ranking and beat UGA in a bowl game…"no thank you Mr Gofrey, we have David Kooi in the wings, we dont need any of your quarterbacking skills here!"

He is a softmore who cannot play next year right?

LOL, We've gone from not 1 good QB to too many.

Actually, they don't know exactly what we have yet. Three of the many QBs (counting German) have not even seen a down on the FAU practice field. And the others haven't had a chance to show what they can do in the new offense. Kind of a broad statement to say we didn't have one good QB in all those that are already there and yet to come.

We shall see in the fall how many are actually on the roster. But everyone has gotta admit, getting a player of his caliber to transfer to FAU is gonna draw LOTS of serious attention. Looking north again, how many great players have been conned into signing at a BigSix program and are now buried on the depth charts and will NEVER see the field? How many of that type of player (4 stars included) would love to transfer to play "Football in Paradise" if shown the way. Other Belt teams have been getting a few like this, now it is our turn to get 4 or 5 transfer a year to come to FAU.
