Some things I'd like to see answered, all being serious.

Recruiting
Why does anyone here think this would benefit FIU or FAU?  Can someone please name ONE recruit the University of Miami has legitimately lost to either school?

Someone mentioned the second & third tier kids coming to FAU.  Why aren't they now?  They are going to our rivals, MTSU, Troy, UCF.  They are going to play in places like Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin where they are freezing their asses off instead of staying home and playing in front of their families.  Why aren't we getting them NOW when many of them are already playing in the SBC?

This will benefit UCF & USF (not good for FAU) and strengthen recruiting for FSU & UF in Miami-Dade & Broward.

Death Penalty

Is that the vogue phrase because that's what the Ponzi schemer and the talking heads are saying?  Does anyone actually know what it takes to get the death penalty?  I'll tell you this, FAU with their loss of scholarships due to academics is in a worse situation when discussing the death penalty than UM.  The last school that was threatened with it and actually could have received it was Alabama just before Shula took over.

The NCAA has even gone on record stating that after seeing the affects of the DP on SMU, they would not use it again.  That program STILL has not recovered and it's been over 20 years.

Looks like FIU thinks the UM debacle could benefit them. They talk like they are the only other D1 program in SoFla, one year…please. Interesting that the article mentions Cristobal being a coach at Miami. He was  tight ends coach and offensive line coach from 2004-2006. As allegations come out, not sure if that was too smart to mention. Timing wise, that was the heart of the the allegations.

LOL yea when looking at schools recruits are considering it often reads…

I don't think we would benefit in recruiting, but there is a small chance of maybe getting A transfer who still wants to stay in the area. But that is it!

I don't think us or FIU will have any benefit at all from Miami, like sigep said, "it's not like we're competing for the same recruits". (Paraphrased).

Personally though, I have never liked Miami and have no problem sitting back with a bag of popcorn watching them crash and burn.

Not if your selling point is, " Do you want to play in front of some glorified high school stands, or do you want to play in a new 30,000 seat stadium…."

add and play for Coach Leach and some minds WILL BE CHANGE. Gotta say this, FAU's future looks bright and the U's looks , well…..iffy right now!

Wow, finally the shoe is on the other foot! So many years of hearing that said against your program, I know you can't wait to start recycling that (pay back?). Now, if you could just figure out how to reverse the trend of losing more games each season ….
