Very impressed with FAU

Grateful Dad, I miss the heyday of The Big East. When everyone left I felt like they were "traitors"  >:(.
I would love to see us in the Big E one day and I think the cross state rivalry, and programs like Cinncinati, Rutgers, Syracuse, etc. (who will invest their resources to have winning programs) will bring the Big E back.

FAMU crashed and burned on their attempt to become D1A. They had problems and a lack of resources. I don't see them trying again any time soon. I doubt teams like JU or Bethune Cookman could put together the resources to become D1A. Their enrollment is only about 3000 each. UNF on the other hand is growing and has the potential.

Never for those Florida I-AA teams. FAMU, in general, is in a shambles.

J'ville is non-scholarship I-AA.

South Alabama (already in the SunBelt) is again swawking about starting football.

Jacksonville State started to try to move up, but is now caught by the moratorium until 2011 or so.

Last year (or early this year), the NCAA halted any more moves up to I-A from lower divisions. WKU was the last team in the closing door.

I did not know that. That is actually great news for our University. Even though we are only in the Sunbelt (as of right now), it puts us in a more of an elite type of status.
