I was told that we would look at a contract this season. Last year was more of a regrouping effort from the fund raising department to see where the dollar would be better spent.
Also to make the fans come out to the stadium and support the team.
It paid off with the deep run in the playoffs. How? The FAU athletic funded the away game tickets to the families 8-). That was expensive, especially the BCC game when we had about 2000 road fans?
This year should be a better fit for TV

exposure would be great, but would it be at
the price of attendance which we need desperately.
I know that if we continue to schedule D-1A games,
hoplefully some of those games be televised.
Then again if we get sponsors involved with
a TV deal it may very well be worth it.

The D1A schedule will give us more exposure on TV but will it keep the fence-rider fan at home in front of the tube?

Hell, even the basketball team gets on Sunshine, and you can't tell me that there are people around the state that want to watch that crap.

haveing the FAU/FIU matchup on TV would be huge
for local exposure which both schools need desperately.
I think on FAU's part having an intern President & AD
the year before hurt us somewhat. Now with Brogan & Angelios having had time to evalute the situation we should see different things happening. We seem to forget at times that we are only in our third year going on our fourth and as a football program, we have come a long way.
IMO, the excitement will cary over from last year,
hopefully we can compete early in the season and have a good showing in our first home game. Unlike the Valdosta game - that was not a good way to start a home series.

Sienna would make a great opening but for one problem. They have closed shop on their football program. No more football at Sienna.
A lot of the big boys schedule softies at home for opening day. My guess is that FAU thought they had one last year in Valdosta State ;) Ignoring the fact that these guys have been in the top 3 of the DII or winning championships for years!!
IMO stand for.. In My Opinion. IMHO you add the word "Humble" for the "H".
Trying to understand those words you wrote about being fried is giving me a headache and it's not a tumor.. ;D
