We made the MSNBC Key Games of the Week Poll

Good luck and I hope you guys tank horribly and send us to our first bowl.

Beating Troy and Memphis should help us ranking-wise as well. Isn't Troy somewhere in the Top 50?

I'm wondering if we won the Battle of Troy and won the bowl what our final BCS ranking would be… we started out in the low 100's if I recall correctly… or was it in the 80's? There were a lot of different polls going…

Re: We made the MSNBC Key Games of the Week Poll

I have a pre season college football magazine that has us 109th out of 119 teams. I dont have the magazine with me now, but I would like to know what Troy's pre season ranking was. Does anyone know?

BocaCoop,

I have the sports illustrated August 20, 2007 Issue and they have FAU at #109 and Troy at #71.  They also had Middle Tenn. at #99???

The score may not reflect it but many UF fans believe we did better against them then Troy did

I bet the Oklahoma St. fans aren't saying that.

Oklahoma State had their own set of problems this year.

Plus, not like we lost 56-0 to Nebraska.

Like things, love people.

Re: We made the MSNBC Key Games of the Week Poll

To start the season, Troy was ranked well below many worse teams, including Rice, which it dismantled in the NOB. Winning the bowl did very little good. Those polls are garbage.

Troy is currently No. 37 in the BCS and a bit higher in the AP and coaches' polls.

And hopefully we don't when we play them!

Also, we don't have a coach that had a "Meltdown", in front of the media either.

Re: We made the MSNBC Key Games of the Week Poll

People keep talking about Haugabook's oblique injury. Anyone else think this is a bunch of BS? I watched the MTSU game and he seemed fine. I think it is something that Troy puts out there to try and gain an advantage, hopefully FAU won't be fooled by this.

To me this game comes down to two things…..Keep Omar in the pocket and make him throw to beat us. Second, FAU has to come out firing on offense. Troy seems like a team that once they get a team down, they keep coming after it….not a team you want to have to stage a fourth quarter comeback against. I hope Troy is as overconfident as their fans are…The one thing I am sure of is that FAU will be very well prepared for this matchup, they've been focused on this game since the season started.
