What is your IDEAL Non Conference Schedule???

I think FIU's schedule is great, don't think they are getting the same payouts from Duke & Louisville.
Obviously we need the $$$, but maybe 1 money game, 1 winnable BCS game (bottom of the conference type teams) and 1 Non-AQ team from the CUSA, MAC or whatever.
+1
Well put…
The issue is we are scheduling teams we don’t need to be given the timing of their apex.
Minn was a great scheduling move aside from one year…
OKSU was a good move…
MSU was a solid move, despite the loss this year.
Just have to pay better attention to where they are as a program when putting them on the slate.

I just want this team to start strong and taste winning or feeling like they could have. It's one thing to be outplayed….it's another to be miss-matched.

I respectfully disagree about MSU. I don't think it was a good idea to schedule them. If you look back, 2 years ago it was a rainy day that if anything made the score closer than it would have been had the weather cooperated. Our offense was blanked and couldn't get going and we faced the Javon Ringer show. Last year was closer but it was pure heart that kept us in that game and we were outplayed. This year…I am not going there.

I was tying the money from the re-scheduled game up there into the equation…agree with you that it was definitely a boderline "can we match up at all" call…

So, tell your friends, neighbors, clients etc to sign up for some season tickets to get the money rolling in… and if you happen to win the powerball this weekend, call Angelos and tell him you want to donate….

One body bag game for national exposure, money, and the chance for a huge upset (Probably 1st game)
One middle of the pack game against a team with a strong fan base. Strong fan base because I would make this a 2+1 series (2 away, 1 home) vs. for ex. Louisville, Marshall, WVU, or another Big East team. (Probably mid season)
One repeated game versus either USF or UCF every year at alternate venues. I love in state games, as those can get us a huge crowd.
Like I said thats my ideal schedule from a spectator's perspective, not a business perspective. It's not my job to balance the books for FAU so I don't care about that part.

I'd love to have USF or UCF yearly!!!
That is a good idea, we need to play in state teams on a regular basis home and away.
