I think the fight song is great as is.  It sounds as if it were around 100 years ago like others. It is based on Football, but most fight songs are.  You can sing it at basketball games and it is ok.  It's the school's fight song.  Sing it at volleyball games.  Its good.

I know a lot of people do not like the whole football in paradise thing, but, personally, I think it is great.  There are only a handful of teams that could claim they are in paradise, and we are one of them.  Go to some Big 10 games and you will quickly believe we have football in paradise  ;)
