Actually, even with the three missed field goals – while changing absolutely nothing else – the score would have been 35-32 USF. We would have needed another field goal to tie or a TD to have won. One of the players had said after the game that if we had made the three field goals, on top of being 16-7 going into the half on national TV, it would have forced USF to scramble and put some points on the board and that may have led to some mistakes on their part where we could capitalize (Marco Polo).
But that's the world of "what ifs" and we can't live there.

I want to clear this up.  We were down 28-17 in the 4th quarter.  We scored a touchdown and went for the 2 point conversion and failed.  Thus it was 28-23 until with 2 minutes left, Rusty went 4 and out, no punt.  This gave USF the ball on our 21 yard line.  They went on to get another touchdown because we were forced to go for it on 4th down at the end of the game.  If we had gotten the 3 field goals and not had to go for the 2 point conversion we could have sat on the ball with a 33-28 lead.  The point is the last touchdown was due to us going for it on 4th down.

I'm going to say The U, simply because most of their so called "fans" are only wearing their gear as a fashion statement. You know the type, the tough guy wanna be, over sized baggy clothes, driving around in either mom's big SUV or his very own 1993 Honda Civic with the big gaudy rims and loud exhaust. They are as bandwagon as they come when they get a big win, although it's been quite awhile for their program.

I have to agree. 50 percent of cans fans down here have never even seen the campus they are all just bandwagoners and thats why when um isnt in the top 5 in the rankings they cant sell out a game because most of there fans dont have a real attachment to the school.

I really hate UF Fans, but what i hate most is when people say this comment (above)  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO THE SCHOOL OR CAMPUS TO BE A FAN OF THE TEAM.   They are a south florida team and they have a good athletic program, thats all you need.

i understand what you saying and agree i would love to see the plambeach area get behind fau but with um fans its overwelming the amount of people that say there true um fans but cant sellout most of there games just becuase there not in the top 5. If you go to the swamp i bet about 95 percent of the fans either went or go to the school and even if UF is having down year the swamp will still be full unlike UM
