When that other team AT LEAST gets to .500 against FAU I will start to care who they are recruiting.  Since we all know what the record is that won't be for many many years.  I predict my three year old son will be attending FAU on a football scholarship before it happens, if EVER.

I think Dusky means TOTAL at .500 against FAU.

They are what 1-5 against us? And I think that the 1 doesnt "count" since they had to forfiet that game due to NCAA sanctions. However I count it cause they really did kick our arse that one year. That game was UGLY.

So it would take at least 5 years for FIU to catch up to us and be .500 against us if they won EVERY game. If that happens Ill just go crawl into a hole and whimper.

Are you scared?
Yes the gap is closing, but so far we have won 6 out 7 right?
Are you gonna tell me that if they win this year; that means they already passed us?
They still have  a lot to prove and so far they haven't. I believe they will be a great team in the future, but first show it on the field. They have not had a .500 season yet.

And?  They were so bad for so long, they had to start to improve at some point.  Nobody thought they would be the absolute worst team in I-A forever.  At some point they were bound to be competitive.  With the amount of talent in South Florida, there is no reason that FAU and FIU shouldn't both be competing for the SBC title every year.  The fact that they are getting better isn't a reflection on us.  We just have to keep doing what we have been doing and we'll be fine.  I hope this develops into a great rivalry.  That would be the best thing for both programs.

Exactly and I agree, I will give them the one even though the game was forfeited.  So if we win two out of three we will be even when my son enrolls for his freshman year. ;) ;D

I agree. But my point was if they didn't choke in the last minute of that game - they probably go to a bowl game and we sit home. And with their new facility, a great recruiting class and a bowl appearance under their belt, the argument could have easily been made that they would have leaped ahead of us. It was really that close- a matter of seconds.
