How's this for excitement - our Oct 15 home opener vs. WKU is THE ONLY D1 COLLEGE GAME IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA that day! And I think we can go 8-4 IF the O line and 3-4 work out as planned. All five home games are winnable along with away games vs. ULL, NT and FIU.THat would be an incredible send off for Coach - as Bluto says (hey, this is a college level forum) - Let's Do It!!!!!
Well 8-4 would certainly be a surprise to anyone outside of Fort Lauderdale…

I'd be really stoked if we win 6, that's a very successful season for us. That's practically going undefeated in conference play. Remember were starting out 0-3 until all of those question marks prove me wrong.
We have a starting QB that's made from spun sugar, he keeps breaking every time he's out on the field, a bad o line that might have gotten better by osmosis but what if theyre just not good? And we don't technically have anyone with experience to throw the ball to right now…think about it this way, Avery Holley kept the starting position ALL of last season.
Our defense will be improved, no doubt but I haven't heard about Ray Lewis going back for his masters in Criminal Justice recently so don't expect us to hold teams to 6 points a game. The D will have to be remarkable for us to win games and I can't remember a time where our team has ever been remarkable.
Game 4 against Louisiana is the barometer for us…Im actually nervous about the UNT game! Its the second in their new stadium, we all think it'll give us an advantage, what about them?

And I am just seeing from the schedule that IF the O-line has improved (gotten bigger and stronger and faster to go with a full year of experience) we CAN win 8 games. All five home games are winnable as well as ULL (not very good), UNT (they may well be 0-5 when we play them there - and pressing!) and FIU (we own them don't we?).
Not just a dream - it can happen IF the O-line is better! Go Owls!

I think they'll be a lot of excitement if we can hang in there against one of the BCS schools and win our two SBC games. So coming in 2-3 would be pretty exciting.
