The return of Niblack will be a serious boost to this line…he's the best overall lineman we have and it was truly a major loss not having him in there least year with all of the other stuff going on injury wise.
Niblack, Sessa, Czprynski all on the filed at the same time will be a PLUS.

Damn right we are not - we are the FAU Owls from Boca Raton, Florida. And when you enter our house, be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID!
And I am just seeing from the schedule that IF the O-line has improved (gotten bigger and stronger and faster to go with a full year of experience) we CAN win 8 games. All five home games are winnable as well as ULL (not very good), UNT (they may well be 0-5 when we play them there - and pressing!) and FIU (we own them don't we?).
Not just a dream - it can happen IF the O-line is better! Go Owls!
My apologies about the mix-up, but how many campuses do you have?
And FAU will be beyond lucky to win 6 games this year.

We have like 7 campuses…and we played in Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale so understand the confusion. We will now be playing in Boca at home.

He's on the roster…….
If he's not in a few days, then we'll have to modify the enthusiasm!

Cmon kids, buck up, now is not the time to cry in your beers, WE ARE UNDEFEATED this season!
Is it too early to put up a prediction thread for the UF game? How about the quarterback situation? We've got to talk about something!

On the plus side, it sounds like our defense should be better than last year and we have Alfred Morris, so we know we at least have a ground game if our WRs can't make plays (but I think they'll perform at least as well as last year, which I know isn't saying much). Furthermore, the players have something to fight for: sending Schnelly out with a bang. Or trying to, anyway.
On the other hand, the incoming freshmen have already heard we were ranked as "one of the worst teams in the nation" so if that rumor spreads like wildfire, we may have tailgaters but no student section.
I understand the center-to-QB snap problems because the line is a game of musical chairs but I don't understand consistent dropped balls from the receiving corps. I mean, that's why we recruited you... because you did this, and did it well, in high school. Sure, the routes may be different, the speed and intensity have revved up, but if the ball hits you in the chest, what's your excuse? You were there. The ball was there. Can you catch a ball or not? Because we don't have scholarships to waste if you can't.
The upside is that we just took on a ton of FR WR and RS-FR WR so we should be much deeper there in the next couple of years.
I also hope Colton Kane is better than our current QBs.
That was probably scattershot but it gives you something to gnaw on anyway.

I just dont feel that haivng an entire camp with QB by committee is good at all. One should of been chosen after the 1st week and stuck with to run the majority of the snaps. If he wasnt gelling with the WR and the O'line after a week, THEN yank him for the backup.
The tips and WR drops are also disconcerting. We cant have ole school running it every play.
I am heartened by the D's performance and I feel they will keep us close. Unfortuantely it appears that they will tire quickly because the O is going to go 3 and out the majority of the time.
Gonna be a long season from a "Wins" perspecitive, but it will be a magical one because of the stadium.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Rule #1 - Cardio, Cardio, Cardio.
Whether its running from zombies or trying to contain opposing offenses with our defense, our guys have to have the stamina to keep going 110% the whole game. It's a lot to ask, but I think that is going to have to be our best bet this season.
Still excited though and I just bought a new FAU front plate and sticker for the "Owlanche" this season as she had no visible FAU support yet. We'll be in Gainsville hootin it up with the gator fans though.
FAU - We got Bowls!
