Bottom line.. conference USA sucks as much, if not more then the Sunbelt. Who cares if FIU leaves, they will be playing for smaller bowls just like us. Further, TY Hilton is gone, watch their record and their attendance drop in the next few years (not like their attendance is any good anyway). Conference USA is not going to suddenly improve their recruiting, increase their attendance, or get them into a BCS bowl. Let their heads swell up likes ours were after our two bowl seasons, they will have a reality check the next few years.

Our goal is the same regardless of what happens. Get a winning product, increase attendance, get back into bowls, and get some upsets of the big boys. It is the same whether you are in conference USA or the Sunbelt. We have Pelini and are entering a new phase of our program, which hopefully should be wins and growth. Lets stay excited about that. Who cares what FIU does. It is their loss if they leave and don't play us. You think their students are going to get excited about their new big rivals of Lousiana Tech and Marshall? I would rather play middle tennesse and troy, they get me way more fired up then any conference usa school would.

That's not true, their source is wrong. Attendance was up significantly, about 18% for the year. Additionally, home games against UCF and DUKE were standing room only, with overflows throughout the concourse levels.

I'm glad to hear there was standing room only at that soccer stadium when you played an instate school. Congrats.

And had LOTS less! But bottom line is they move out and we stay. They will recruit better with the CUSA "title" but they will have to! Coach P. and this staff will do just fine IMHO!

I think the point the writer wanted to make was that FIU's attendance numbers were down last season, which is clearly inaccurate. Let's presume that FIU fudged the numbers, are you saying then that they only fudged it for last season? If you don't believe this past season's number then I don't expect you to believe any past season numbers from FIU.

However, you cannot deny that FIU had a extremely strong turnout for the UCF game (someone here claimed it was all UCF fans) and our homecoming game against Duke (all Duke fans too, but that should be impossible since UCF bought all of our season tickets!). Any way you spin it, we had more tickets sold and more butts in the seat than previous seasons.

Would like to see this shot halfway through the game, not 5 minutes before kickoff. But once again, congrats on selling out the soccer stadium for homecoming.
