two months ago i wouldn't have thought twice, now……I'm thinking. they played ball state tight. and we've done nothing to show were worthy of beating anyone.

I said as soon as WKU joined the SBC that they would make some waves this year. So far they have not managed to do so. I hope they wait until after the FAU game to start shaking things up in the SBC, but right now they are a scary team to be facing. They are starting to get used to the level of play at 1-A and I think they are hunger for a win and probably see easy pray in a down and out FAU team. If FAU continues to play poorly WKU could walk away with a W this week.

Well give them some time to do something. Not many teams are going to be successful they're first year in D-1A. I do think they will be very successful in due time just like they have been in Basketball

By "make some waves" I meant that they would knock somebody off this year and might impact the title chances of a team. I didn't mean that they would make a run at the title right away. They still have a chance to shake-up the final SBC standings and maybe even play spoiler in a game or two. They still have FAU, UNT, Troy, MTSU, and FIU on the schedule. I am pretty sure they will get at least one win out of those games and maybe two.

We are not a member of the Sunbelt this year and cannot affect the Sunbelt standings.  The only thing we could hypothetically do is spoil somebody's chance at an at-large invite to a bowl game.

Even though a loss to WKU doesn't mean anything directly in terms of SBC standings it would still be a loss that no team would want to have and ultimately could have an impact.
