Word out of Nashville Sports Talk Radio is......

Rusty Smith will be on the Titans as the #3 QB.

Titans must decide who will be #2 (Collins vs. Simms). Collins, of course, is the heavy favorite right now. It just depends if the Titans want to get rid of Collins and his $5 million + salary. Sportstalk is that Simms will not be reliable enough, and Collins will be the choice.

Rusty will get a shot !

Re: Word out of Nashville Sports Talk Radio is......

If Rusty is in a TN uniform during the Dolphins game (Nov. 14th),  I will root for him if for some reason he makes it onto the field.  It would be nice if the coach could put him in for a couple plays for the local fans.

GO OWLS!

Now the climb up the ladder begins.

Good luck Rusty, hope to see you start in a few years.

Think he'll get a start before Tebow?

Everyone here seems to believe they'll insert him into their game against Jacksonville, even if it's just for a single drive.

It would be great if he did, but he's not going to start before Tebow. The QB situation in Denver is horrid and probably won't be long before Tebow starts.

Like Dusky said, hopefully the Titans can play Rusty for a few drives against Miami when they play down here

I am not sure that Tennessee's QB situation isn't worse than Denvers.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

Re: Word out of Nashville Sports Talk Radio is......

The Broncos' coach likes Tebow. I would be very surprised if he didn't play some in Jacksonville (six-eight plays, at least, and maybe more). Right now in Denver, Kyle Orton is No. 1 and Brady Quinn is No. 2. But neither is the dual-threat QB that Tebow is. In any case, I would not be surprised to see two QBs (Tebow and one of the others) in the game at the same time, with Tebow running, or even throwing to the other 'QB.' Who knows? Josh McDaniels, the Broncos' coach, is a pretty creative guy. He could drive defenses crazy with some of the possibilities. As for starting, people here (Denver) do not rule out the possibility that Tebow could start a game late in the year. The coach, however, is being pretty coy about this, repeatedly saying Orton is No. 1 on the depth chart. But we all know how coachspeak works: It is wiser to watch what they do than to listen to what they say.
