Wyoming head coach Christensen hospitalized

how do you prevent that  ???

A lot is genetics if you are prone.
Keep away from high sodium intake, drink plenty of water.

The pain will make a grown man cry, and wither on the floor in agony.

Women state it is worse than child berth (and that goes for my wife as well, she has had several, even as a teenager).

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming coach Dave Christensen underwent surgery to remove a kidney stone and should be on the sidelines when the Cowboys travels to Florida Atlantic this weekend.

The 48-year-old Christensen went to Ivinson Memorial Hospital on Tuesday morning because he wasn't feeling well.

Athletic department spokesman Tim Harkins says Christensen had surgery Tuesday night to remove the kidney stone and was discharged Wednesday morning.

Christensen is in his first year as head coach at Wyoming.

He will still be hurting into gametime.  I have had that surgery and you have to keep the stent in for up to 1 week.  He will be peeing razor blades and his ureter and bladder will be contracting (trying to fight the stent).  The stent can feel just as bad as the original kidney stone pain.  I feel for him–he went through the worst case scenario.  The best case is to pass them naturally.

This will definitely affect how he prepares and coaches against us, depending on how involved he is on calling plays!

By the way NCOWL, North Carolina is considered part of the Stone Belt (not for the hippies) but for the amount of people that get kidney stones.

Water in NC has a very high amount of calcium and oxalate contained in it!  I moved up to NC ten years ago and I have had about 12 Kidney Stones–I guess it is the price to pay, to live in one of the best places in the country ;D
