Someone has my back.

I'm looking forward to see the Monroe/Daniels matchup on URI. he's one of the top guys in A10. I would like to see who shuts who down.

Anyone know if Sammy will be able to return sooner than later? He left George Mason on November 2nd last year. It would be great if we could get him back then.

i dont think he will be able to shut Monroe down…and i dont feel he is as talented as Monroe is on offesne…thats why i chose us for a favorable mis match at that position…but C-Los needs to play better D…i think they have really been working on that with him…it hurt us last year…

The other concern we have is Holley…if he is nto ready to play by then, which he very well may not be, we will be verythin at PG and will have to rely some on - yep - Cuka…this primarily because Graham, our other "back-up" PG will have to move solely to the 2 to replace Dre…….

I hope that kid (Cuka) got into the weight room ,and toughened up a bit over the off season…last year he looked very uncomfortable at times, rattled, and overmatched athletically…

Nwoji is a GAMER…we are going to wish we had this kid for four years and not two…mark my word…

Only concern:

Hope he learns, and learns quick…our offense is NOT a simple system if ran properly…

Big Plus:

T-Rex was a great PG in both college and the NBA in the category of "field general"…if anyone can shorten his learning curve with one on one instruction (which i am certain will take place) it is T-Rex…

2007-08 schedule officially released

Nwoji
Graham
Monroe
Sammie
Parmer

that is a stacked starting five.

Florida_Owl, what are you hearing about the Hugley, Perkins, Royster and Owens. Will any of these guys be making a push to start?

The thing is that we will (believe it or not) be so deep, that there will nto be a drop off at any position really - except PG, depending on what Avery can do/does…what there will be is a difference in playing style, and scoring methodology at each position…

For ex, Smith is a "Power" SF who can post up and shoot from the perimeter…But Owens is a high flying, slasher who is very athletic…

thsi si a big time advantage because opponents will have to prepare for 6 - 8 guys, and not 2 or 3 like last year…

the one difference will be Royster - defensive big man who is a very good shot blocker…if Rex makes him a five, then it will be a unique rotation, because C-Los doesnt play the five…but if he makes him a four, then we have him backing up Los and Simmons backing up Parmer…but that could change as well if he decides to go with Sammy at the four…but i doubt it…

at the two, you have Graham, Perkins, and Hughley…DEEP…

Alarcon, i see going to a more defensive specialist role about mid way through the season, if he continues to play…he should be in the rotation strong up until that point…However , if he really worked on his shot this past off season, and catches fire from behind the arc, that could change…because we will have alot of guys ahead of him offensivley, that can aslo play d, this will have to be the case for him to stay within the rotation deep into the season…unless Rex deciseds to go to a 10+ man rotation…

it wont be like last year…or any other year for that matter…we will be deep at every position except PG…

bottom line:

alot of variables to iron out…but we are in the best shape we ever have been total talent, roster, and depth wise…period.
