As I see it:
1. Coach Jarvis is recruiting the wrong kids and his personality is not jiving with todays kids.
2. Kids can't perform in the class room (partly Jarvis' fault, for bringing them in).
3. Kids don't want to follow the rules (i.e. playing b-ball in the rec cent, smoking stuff you shouldn't smoke when a full scholarship student, etc.)
4. The latest two kids to transfer were non-factors, won't be a loss. A legitimate question is why were they brought in, once again Jarvis' fault.
Coach Jarvis has to have a good season this year. Based on recent history its hard to see that happening. I will be renewing my basketball tickets not because I am supporting Jarvis, but because I am supporting the players and my school.
Good post! Bryant was pretty highly regarded but from a lower level of HS ball unfortunately. What they do in HS ball does not matter due to level of competition. AAU ball mixes all levels and the best rise to the top. And I know we still fill schollys with the best talent available but at FAU that is not very high.
