Back on the topic of money spent = athletic success.
Lets take this in…(losing over $500k or nearly 35% in ticket sales from 2012 to 2013 is what sticks out to me, wow that is not a good thing with a new football stadium on campus )
YEAR Ticket Donor Liscensing Student Fee School Fund TOTAL REVENUES
2014 $956,750 $2,502,017 $1,756,859 $12,128,623 $4,229,754 $24,352,818
2013 $964,782 $2,402,964 $2,018,891 $11,282,039 $5,308,429 $24,538,411
2012 $1,483,341 $2,503,094 $2,251,552 $11,121,886 $2,814,343 $23,226,481
2011 $1,361,976 $1,348,173 $1,315,931 $10,425,354 $2,575,771 $19,438,422
2010 $549,258 $709,938 $1,376,207 $8,877,456 $2,202,945 $16,284,618
2009 $635,196 $532,223 $1,404,722 $8,205,800 $3,106,098 $16,081,909
2008 $703,809 $1,293,531 $1,734,838 $7,990,719 $3,090,988 $16,574,905
2007 $352,714 $658,908 $994,249 $8,092,915 $2,743,387 $15,293,950
2006 $459,183 $746,458 $1,318,070 $7,816,240 $2,971,770 $14,637,992
2005 $317,240 $949,116 $1,195,756 $6,526,527 $4,927,304 $14,454,890
As it relates to basketball, see below. This is from 2010. If anybody can show our 2014 budget that would be great, our revenes have increased over $8m or 33% in those 4 years Wonder if our men's basektball spending has increased at the same rate?

Can you post where this came from for football? I have seen the conference budget rankings but not this much detail in the revenue sources.

Hopefully if we can get the football program on track we will eventually have some money, we should not be asking the students for anymore.

What does any of this have to do with CJ TURMAN?Posted On: Dec 23rd 2015, 11:35 PM #353363
Quite a bit actually, it's a discussion of the program and the state it is in.

if you try hard enough, everything and anything is relatable. My point is this isn't directly in conjunction to CJ leaving. All we are discussing is how bad our financial situation is and how much we suck. Start another thread. This happens with every thread and is a big reason why I barely post anymore. Everyone is just arguing with each other about stuff that barely relates to the thread title. This is the equivalent to a gameday thread that spirals in to our coaches salaries. Start another thread. Not that hard. This is a CJ post, not a "we suck because we have no money" thread.dusky256fc said

I agree with you Brandon…just looking back over this thread, there are about 4 topics being discussed…the issue is that if we start three more they will die…don't get me wrong, in the perfect world all threads would be solely focused on the title and the title only, but to Dusky's point some things are cross related…I can see both sides here but moving forward will make more conscious of an effort to branch things out.
On a side note:
Strongly considering a Smack thread to move all posts that end up in argument and have nothing to do with the topic being discussed.

When teams are bad these threads are going to happen.
Some people on here the "I don't post anymore because of this"
I'm sorry that many on here want to focus the truth and it hurts and it's a message board you're not going to like what people say sometimes.
Like the truth that our basketball program is a dumpster fire that's located in a larger dumpster that is on fire as well.
And the the fact we still don't know if Charile can coach on Saturdays.
And yes can we please get a smack fourm.

People speculate on why our kids are transferring and the issues that are causing kids to want to transfer. Few different people pointed out that this is happening with students like Turman because the program is not finacially supported to the degree it needs to be in order to keep our high profile recruits here.Brandon Kirby-Wolverlora Simon said

So, somebody makes that statement and then I dig in to put real numbers to the opinion.
I actually think your post has nothing to do with the topic. Think its negative. For a forum, we stay pretty well on topic…if you dont like posting dont post.
What exactly are people allowed to post about this topic to your liking? What CJ's favorite color is? How he liked on campus food? I usually dont get mad, this post is brutal and shouldn't even be dignified.
