Mcall might be out of out league now a top assistant on the number 1 team the country also seeing there might have been a violation by Jarvis. Maybe we can fire him at a discount.

Much like football there are only 126 HC jobs around. At some point assitants have to run thier own show even if it means less presteige.

yea he might get a better head coaching offer.

Timing is everything.

So far Pat Chun did a great job on the Football HC hire. I have a feeling he will do just as well on the Basketball one.

As the two programs that are generally have the most exposure for a University, Im sure he's aware that for his future he needs to hit home runs on both.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

What do NBA assistants make in comparison to college head coaches?

What a glorious day.

Thought we'd have to sit through another ~1.5 seasons before we got here. And Jarvis probably thought he was invincible because of FAU's inability to do an early payout.

This is pretty telling if it's  true (and I believe it is):

The Syracuse coach angle is curious. We'll see what comes of that. If it's true and that creates a situation where FAU doesn't have to pay Jarvis, that's (another) masterful stroke.

Do feel a bit bad for MJ2 because he seems like a good guy and cares very much about the team. I hope he ends up on his feet soon.

Looking to the future, I'm with you guys on Matt McCall. Wonder if he'd really come back here. If he did, that's kinda crazy moving from Gainesville to Boca to Gainesville to Boca. At least he'd know his way around the area  :Big-Grin:

We assume he made a good hire…and so far it seems Partridge wants to be here.  Hopefully, this is a sign of a new financial commitment to the program that will entice a new up and comer coach to want the job.

Are you rounding up?  1.5  seasons?   There are 2 games plus a conference tournament game left this season…also how many games did you go to this year or ever for that matter?

+1

Agreed.  Without additional financial commitment to the program, this will be nothing but a coaching change!

I always forget that Div1 basketball is different from FBS football. This sport with the orange ball is such a mystery to me.  :)
