Looks like the guy covers FIU…assume Mavin and Taylor are the ones who called Jarvis a horrible person.

McCall was the one that brought in such stellar citizens like Taylor and Mavin and is the reason we are in the Academic mess we are in today. Whoever we bring in has to be patient and build a program instead of looking for quick fixes.

He recruited Greg Gantt…the programs all time leading scorer.

And Ray and Dennis, left because of Jarvis no?

All I have to say is any decent HC does NOT throw his players under the bus. EVER.

No question Mavin and Taylor left because of Jarvis but during their tenure they got suspended multiple times and their departure was certainly ugly. McCall is a good young coach, I just can't see Chun going with someone who worked for Jarvis a few years ago. Just time for a clean break. Maybe a Frank Martin disciple.

I don't like to see anyone resign or get fired. But in honesty in today's college environment, you have to have constant positive results or you risk losing your job. Jarvis has five losing seasons in the past six. I am surprised he lasted this long. Considering the fact we lost games by fading down the stretch, so either Jarvis message is not getting through, or the kids lost their confidence in the coach. Good luck to him in the future.

Oh, man! I'm super optimistic about the future of FAU basketball now that Chun can get his guy in.

Speaking of Chun…

Lesson learned, if Chun wants you out, he'll find a way to do it at no cost! I've gotta give him credit, that's not always the easiest thing to do.

Sounds like we need to give him some sorta Mob-style nickname haha

Pat "the sniper" Chun! :)

And I dont think Jarvis ever had a message, there were too many times with him sitting on the bench shaking his head at the players and doing nothing else.

As long as the next head coach can get us to make some free throws Ill be happy!

Chun says all the right things but if the people who report to him could tell us what they really think - oh my - it is not a friendly environment for our coaches which will be passed down to an unfriendly atmosphere for our players.

Winning is extremely important but once you cross the line to, win at all costs, this leads to cutting corners and hurting good people.

Yeah the old coaches are probably not used to have any expectations to win or scared of losing their jobs. I don't think Angelos knew how to fire anyone. Every single one of our sports was awful except for baseball at the end of Angelos tenure. Since chun has taken over you have pretty much seen improvements in every FAU sports team.
