Exactly what my point was..Let's not limit it to just the sports..and the facts you want to bring up to support  your  used word ALL sports.  What about women's basketball (22-2 all time lead vs FAU)?…or women's tennis (3 time SBC Champs)?…or men's soccer with its history and all time series vs FAU?….or men's basketball this year (2-0) or all time record?…or women's volleyball (4-0 sweep the last two seasons) or all time series record?…or..while baseball is correct the last several years…what about the all time series record?…or men's cross country's finish in SBC championships ?…or women's cross country ?..or women's indoor and outdoor track and field….or even women's golf?  Ever heard Florida Ineligible University?

As you can see, it goes both ways.  However, I agree with you that you should have used "some" sports to make a valid and fact-based point.  I have never…and will never say…or agree with any deranged fan, be it from FIU or not,  "that a university as bad and pathetic as FAU could defeat or do better than FIU".  First of all, because obviously, it is not true (the bad and pathetic part), secondly, we both are very similar Universities in our own development stages trying to carve up a niche within South Florida, the State, and ultimatelsy, the nation.  Also, of course it has done better than FIU in selected sports (again, not ALL).  You have to be blind not to see the facts, and while I'm passionately biased, I'm not blind.

1) I never said YOU said any of those things.

2) The events I mentioned are a year or less old and still fresh in many minds

3) I was trying to explain to a board member that it doesn't matter that the FIU board is laughing at bad press. I personally believe many over there think losing to FAU or not doing as well as FAU is a disgrace. They try to find fault in FAU to make up for it. It comes in many ways. Bashing our academics, our campus, our students, our fans. It doesn't ruffle my feathers (no pun intended). I was just trying to explain.

Like I said, I was trying to explain something to a board member. Now you.  I don't post on your board and most likely never will.  These post aren't going to change the world or even South Florida. It doesn't matter. So keep on keep-en on.

I read this blog off another teams board.  what did this jay guy write thats got everybody so riled up anyway

tekeraider,  basically this guy that works for the school newspaper wrote an article about the student support groups for the basketball team and was bashing us, and we are the only consistant fans that show and cheer on the team.

He wont talk any more trash about us anymore…..i think he learned, dont mess with the loudest fan groups on campus or you will become a target too!

Haha not to rehash an old argument but I don't think "he learned don't mess with the loudest fan groups" as much as he just doesn't care anymore lol. I'm sure if we did/said something stupid and he heard it he'd report it being that he's the sports editor of the school paper. He has his opinions and we have ours.
