He has a video up and everything – Marcus has really stepped it up. Good to see!

Re: FAU SIGNS FOUR

Any reason to why he was available this late and how this guy ranked.  Just curious.

Couldn't find much on Rivals (they still list Gagel as uncommitted) other than that he's a 2-star WR (Marcus said he's a football prospect too)
Chris Watson - Yahoo! Sports

Scout has the same ranking (2 stars) as WR
Scout.com - College and High School Football, Basketball, Recruiting, NFL, and MLB Front Page

Not much on him for basketball in terms of rankings.
SI.com shows him averaging 8 ppg and 4 rpg, with 43.9% FG
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/ncaa/men/players/79443/

Oh also… in the process of searching I found Rivals saying that Jimmie Sutton went to Alabama State.
Eight points is kinda low, wouldn't you say? Maybe that's why he's available late.

Re: FAU SIGNS FOUR

I don't know if some of you remember this, but he was offered & accepted an offer to play for FAU (part of the '08 signing class), then did an about-face and ending up signing with Air Force for Football.  I'm guessing he had a change of heart and felt Basketball was the sport for him.

When I heard of his signing (yesterday) I did try to dig up some info on him and couldn't find much:

2006 Rock Holiday Classic - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
CHAMPION: Sagemont School – Weston, FL
RUNNER-UP: Miami Senior High School - Miami, FL
MVP: Edwin Rios – Miami Senior High School - Miami, FL
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM:
Andres Irarrazabal - Sagemont School - Weston, FL
Marco Cooper - Sagemont School - Weston, FL
Shayne Payne - Sagemont School - Weston, FL
Jorge Rubio - Miami Senior - Miami, FL
Rihards Kukgiks - Florida Air Academy - Melbourne, FL
Jesse Bean - Wasilla High School - Wasilla, AK
Jermaine Washington - Imhotep Charter School - Philadelphia, PA
Josh Newsome - Atlantic High School - Delray Beach, FL
Chris Watson - Lyman High School - Orlando, FL
Jared Swopshire - The Pendleton School - Bradenton, FL

I had a picture & somehow deleted it, I'll see if I can find it again.

Re: FAU SIGNS FOUR

Based on that film, he's legit…he will stack up very well in our league speed, skill, and size wise…you have to consider who will guard him on the perimeter…very seldom will it be someone his size who is as athletic.

Why FAU late comment:

Simple, guys are always avaialble it just gets tougher to get them…"the other guy" couldnt evaluate talent as well as Jarvis, and has NO WHERE NEAR THE NAME Jarvis has…That's how he is able to pull FIVE talented recruits out of the woodwork at the 11th hour…

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride…

If you thought this was good, wait until you see the next class we bring in.

Oh, and, we now have the fastest PG in the SBC :)
