I doubt we will be able to hold on to him if he goes to hargrave
That would be awful. Maybe Rex can convince him to come here instead of a private school. Get this kid a tutor and keep him here.. PLEASE!
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

No, no, no…let's not go there…that's not the case!
First of all a kid who would committ to a school of that caliber (military school) is usually of sound character…
Secondly, if he signs an LOI its a done deal…
So, that is what we are waiting for…
Personally, i believe he will be an Owl…
Just dont want to WAIT a year for it - rats!

You don't think there's a chance a bigger name school will start to show interest in him if he matures, has a good GPA and becomes even an better player then he already is? I know he gave us a verbal but as we all know from football that means nothing especially if a team like Miami says hey you can still be close to home and play for us and we're in the ACC

If you sign an LOI, then that's it…
Unless, a coach leaves - which i cant see Rex leaving between now and then…
Besides, the kid has been here twice that we know of…i think he wants to be an Owl!
we'll know in a little over a month…

Problem is letters aren't binding for the next year. Meaning if you sign then go to prep school or to JuCo you can then sign wherever you want the next recruting season. Last year in football Enrique Davis signed with Auburn, he went to Hargrave and ended up signing with Ole Miss this year.
Nonetheless, I think with some work Rex can keep him. Seems like he was impressed with the attention the people at FAU showed him.

I've never heard of this…are you sure??
If so, then what would be the purpose of an LOI??
it would be absolutely meaningless, and shouldnt be in practice…wouldn't you agree??

Im pretty sure Ape is correct which is the reason of my initial worries about hearing riley may go to hargrave. All I know is that Tennesee and UGA always get their borderline recruits to go to hargrave. Even if they initially sign its always up in the air ifthey will re sign after their year at hargrave, Ive seen several instances where guys changed their decisions after going their. The problem is that Allllllllllllllll the recruiters make stops at hargrave.

then, IF that is the case, i am putting no stock in him coming here whatsoever…whats to say he doesnt blow up there and gain the attention of someone else with more "bells and whistles"…
then the only thing we have to offer is paying attention to him when he didnt have the grades to catch thier initial interests…will that be enough??
oh well, it was good while it lasted…and not that it cant or wont happen, but im not investing any emotion into it at this point…
thanks for the info!
