Florida native Freddie Riley, who made his way into the new ESPN 150, verbally committed to Florida Atlantic over the weekend, multiple sources are reporting. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is expected to spend a post-graduate year at Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy before signing a letter of intent in the fall of 2008. Riley chose FAU over Marshall, Baylor and Kansas State.



If he signs in the fall he'll be locked in till the 09-10 season, thats a point nobody thought of….. Plus nobody will be looking at him because his season won't have started.

That is good news.  But someone might want to help me, I was under the impression that in basketball players get the most attention on the AAU circuit.  Is this right?

Either way good news for Owls forgot about the early signing period.

Very good point Exit - didnt think of that!

Now, i wonder if the men's basketball office did??
