Owls move to 1-1 in Sun Belt play with 66-48 win over New Orleans



July 1st, 2010 marks the end of an era for New Orleans as a Division I team, as they will move to Division III status.

But the victory marks the first Sun Belt road win for FAU since defeating the Troy Trojans 99-93 on February 27, 2008.

It was a great road victory, I didn't realize we where 1-22 on the road prior to the New Orleans game.  Glad we finally got that monkey off our backs.

A tough one coming up next … against Miami.

I received free tickets for the Miami game when I attended the Warner Southern game. I know Miami has a good record so far but I'm hoping we have some chance against them because honestly it's going to be a real pain in the ass to drive all the way to the BankAtlantic Center only to see us dragging by 20+ points the whole game.

They are a very good team...toughest we will have faced yet...
