If we have the same results as this year then what?

You mean 11-18?

Then there is a serious problem, and would expect Coach to step up to the plate and take some responsibility.

He is a man of character and there is no question he would do just that.

However, highly doubt we will be seeing this again.

I agree he is a man of character and I also agree it will probably  not happen but I didn't see this year coming either.

GO OWLS!

Re: Looking on to next year....

I'm really confused with his strategy at times…perhaps he's trying to make the team "hungry" as hes stated before, because he certianly doesn't coddle them. Whenever we get a lead, we go straight off the accelerator into a slow paced offense that doesn't work for us at all, letting teams back in. And whenever someone makes a mistake, they're immediately pulled. it has to be discouraging to some of the guys. Saturday night, toward the end of the game, Ray made a mistake and dribbled a ball off his foot (a rarity for him) and he's yanked right after, when our team is facing a full court press I can't think of anyone I'd rather have out there and Ray is being punished on the pine. I know he's frustrated just like us but he's over the top at times with that stuff.

Re: Looking on to next year....

Believe we all underestimated (at least I sure did) the importance of having Royster underneathe the basket. Against teams like USA and MTSU, he would have made a HUGE difference.  FIU the second time to boot.

Ovsiouly that accounts for 5 losses.

Not to mention 9 points a game, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks as well.

I had speculated that he was going to be a bigger loss than most thought.  3 blocks a game for Royster while that might be his "official" stat isnt even close.  I remember watching him block 8 or 9 shots in a game and get credit for 3 or 4.  Guy was a defensive beast and was a leader and tough minded.

I thought the first half of the season would be tough and we would adjust and play better the 2nd half.  What really concerns me from a coaching perspective is that we regressed as the season went on with a talented and seasoned roster.  Usually that is not a good sign.

Hopefully next season is great and none of this matters.  With games at Duke and UNC…these boys better be ready.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.
