Safe to say last Saturday wasn't fun. Owls dropped their fourth in a row with a 71-63 to rival FIU. Tonight, FAU will take on a very physical Middle Tennessee team. If the regular season ended today, MT would finish #3 in CUSA. With the Blue Raiders being the favorites tonight, and most likely again Saturday against FIU, expect Middle Tennessee to finish second going into the conference tournament in Birmingham.

#30 Reggie Upshaw has had his way with FAU over the years. A joint effort by Cylla, Filer, and Delph will be needed to contain the 6-7 PF.

Wouldn't you know it, Upshaw is off to a fast start. He has 7 out MT's 13 points at the 15:00 mark. In that includes finishing up a steal with a dunk, and an easy three.

Rutherford draws a foul and nets two FTs to end an FAU drought that lasted over 3:05. MT leads 16-7 with 13:15 left in the first half

MT's Perrin Buford just had the best dunk I've seen at the Burrow this season. Splits two defenders who refused to attempt any box out, catches the ball as it bounces off the rim, and slams it down over the two surprised Owls.

Delph responds to Buford's dunk with an intimidating swat on a layup attempt. Owls still down, 18-9 with 11:30 left.
