Whatt?????? How about players do not like Jarvis we have had three players just walk in the last month. This is a joke

Omari just said recently that if Jarvis didn't get a new contract, he would consider leaving.  So now he suddenly doesn't like Jarvis?  Doubtful.  You don't think Kore wasn't nudged to leave?

I don't buy into your argument until someone comes out and says there is a problem.
Let just say me being a student i get to talk to the players sometimes im not going to quote him but  lets just say he is not leaving because Jarvis is not getting his contract. Jarvis needs to fix what is going on with this program.

Believe me, I don't think for a second Omari left because of the contract…I was commenting on what he said he would do if he didn't and thought it would be a little strange for him to suddenly change from that.

I will tell you exactly what is going on with this program…

It is turning into a real college basketball program…something many of us have never experienced before.  Players leaving because they want to "turn pro" after having a terrible year says enough for me.

Players will need to grow up and dedicate themselves to this or they will be out the door. That's how the real programs work.  (that is not a comment on Omari–because I do not know his situation). I am pretty confident of what happened with Kore and Ray.

Good young Freshmen players should not just be walking I do not understand how none of you do want to put any of the blame on Jarvis for this.

Good young freshman players who might not get muchb playing time should walk. If he was not going to play, then he should go somewhere else. All of this is speculation, however, until we see where he transfers to.

Re: Omari Grier to Transfer from Florida Atlantic

Moral of the story: Jarvis was hard on these guys all year and some of the players don't want to be "treated" like that. I'm sure that when they were being recruited, Jarvis made them feel like kings, and now that they suck, no one wants to be screamed at. This was a soft team that could not deal well with adversity. From Ray going in and out of the lineup, to Kore White's overall performance, to only matching an opponent's level of play in two games all season (UM and UNT). The guys who want to work and don't mind getting dirty will stay for next year, while the rest will most likely leave.

As fans, we always say we're spoiled by our one decent football season and our bball season where we actually won the games we were supposed to. I think the real problem is that some of our athletes are just as spoiled as we are.

Lots of coaches go hard on their players but the players buy into the system and stick with it and become better basketball players it is problem when you can not players to buy into what you trying to do and that is simply the most important of coach it does not matter what system you run or if your a hard coach or a players coach if you can not get players to believe in what your doing none of it matters.

So let's let 19-year old freshmen who have no college experience run the program and toss the guy that has been to the elite 8 and has coached NBA players?

Good luck with that!!

Re: Omari Grier to Transfer from Florida Atlantic

It might be something as simple as Jarvis saying, "I recruited you specifically to make X number of points/steals/assists, and you're not doing that, so you're not playing" and players just got tired of not living up to his expectations.

I mean, that's how we got some of the guys like Justin Davis, Sammy Hernandez, etc, right? They weren't living up to expectations at their original school, decided to transfer, ended up here?

Unfortunate because Omari Grier was heralded as a better 3-point shooter than Gantt when he came in and it just wasn't happening.

Hopefully Moody will deliver when he gets here.
