Ya, i left at halftime, cuz I had a meeting, but I was really surprised at how well the student turnout was. It was almost full! And it wasn't even advertised much on campus. The only way I knew about it was from here. I'm hoping it keeps up like this. It could turn this year into something pretty sweet. Me and FAUtuba and Dmarkey were sitting near some freshman I assume and they saw us doing the chears and chants and asked us how they went and stuff, it was pretty sweet. I think we're going to have a good year. And our new guys look pretty good. I'm sure the people that stayed the whole game will have a pretty good review of our team later.

Will all games be broadcasted? Or just home games?

First off I would like to thank everyone who watched our first pilot live broadcast.  This is actually the first ever live OWLTV broadcast in our 9 year existence.  We've been in the planning stages for over 3 months to make this happen.  The broadcast tonight, as I said was more of a pilot than a real broadcast, so we apologize for the lack of sound/scores/announcers.  As for tonight, there was no sound because we had no announcers, neither did we have game sound.

In the future, there will be game sound, and arena announcer sound.  (Provided we can afford the extra equipment)  We would also like to add the ability to put live scores and time clock in basketball which would run about $2,000.  I would also like to add play-by-play announcers, which we are currently looking for volunteers.  As for away games…. This has a very slim chance, due to many factors.  Cost, travel, and broadcasting rights. (remember OWLTV only has a small budget coming from Student Government.)  We are going to attempted to broadcast all the home games over the internet, but this also hinges on our own broadcasting rights.  We will have a website coming online in the near future, and will archive all games produced by OWL .

As for Saturday, the football homecoming game will be broadcast live over the internet also, and hopefully with sound.  This also hinges on our uplink from lockhart.  We also are looking for play-by-play announcers for football as well.  If you know anyone interested please send me a message.

I would like to thank the entire crew of OWL TV for their work at the game tonight.  It will only get bigger and better from here on out.  I would like to thank the 2 students who donated the 5,000 dollars worth of equipment for us to go live.  And our mentor Pete, who actually couldn't make it to the game tonight.  The game tonight was completely student run.

Keep up the great work OWL TV !! We will definitely spread the word.

There have GOT to be a couple of journalism/communication majors that are willing to do the play by play and color for the games for free/resume filler out there! I would have definitely done this back in college.
