He has tons of basketball experience.  Certainly an impressive resume as former NBA head coach and a long time assistant.  No college coaching experience, although I'm sure his NBA credentials will help in recruiting.

The NBA experience certainly helped Sydney Green and Isaiah Thomas!  Doesn't mean he won't be successful, but doesn't guarantee anything.

Absolutely.  Neither worked out as a college coach, but it wasn't because they had NBA experience.   IT was a failure because he's a scumbag who just wanted to coach part-time.  Anyway, I don't know how good Curry will be as a college coach, but I have enough faith in Chun to believe that he's done plenty of homework in making this hire.
