FGCU is scoring 58.4 points per game, dropping a lopsided 85-45 season-opening decision at Kansas while also losing to Richmond (69-58) and Bradley (58-54) at home during its CBE Classic early-season tournament. Starting guard Delvin Franklin scored 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting (3-of-4 from 3-point range) in FGCU lone victory over North Carolina Central.
