Actually, you guys have already clinched a 2 seed at worst, and a first round bye. The SBC finally published their tiebreaking procedures.

Your worst case record in conference is 10-6, assuming you lose out. Best case for WKU, the only team that could knock you out of the bye, is also 10-6. Because of the split in your two games, it would come down to a tiebreaker.

Second head-to-head tiebreaker is record against division opponents. WKU has 4 division losses (one each to you, MTSU, Troy, and USA). You guys only have one, and if you lose out you'll max out at 4 (FIU, USA, Troy).

Third head-to-head tiebreaker is record against the top seed in your division (in this case, Middle Tennessee). You guys swept Middle, WKU already lost to them once. Congrats, you've already won the worst case scenario tiebreaker.

Even if you guys wind up in a 3-way tie at 10-6 with MTSU and WKU, you'll still win the tiebreaker. The first tiebreaker in that situation is won/lost record among the 3 teams. FAU would be 3-1 (two wins vs. MTSU, one against WKU), WKU would be 2-2 (one win over each FAU and MTSU), and Middle would be 1-3 (one win against WKU). You guys would be the 1 seed in the east, Western would be the 2 seed.

So, congrats… You've already clinched a bye.

And if you win OR Western loses at any point before the end of the year, then no tiebreaker is necessary because WKU can't catch up to even tie you.
