Time for redemption...

Reminds me of the first year going to the FAU games, we were sooo bad that if we kept it within 20, Jared, Will, myself etc… considered it a FAU victory.  :P :-[

Haha those were the days with "Whose your daddy" Tony Lee and Jon Smart and I think they won 1 game during the entire regular season I think we beat Nova and then we went into the ASun tournament and won our first game but I believe after that we got crushed by Georgia State.

Mike I think thats when you, me, & will were some of the only fans in the gym, even less then this year

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

How about when that guy from Georgia State told you to wait for him outside the gym.  I still don't think I've since you run that fast since. 8) ;)

At the end of Ted's blog on the stadium he rips Rex and he's right.  If he's not willing to do a post game interview for the few people who are following his pathetic team then screw him.  I'll check in on BBall next year, maybe we'll have a new coach.

im a lifer, but feel your frustration…

been through alot since 1992 (first year i started following the team)…

someone can correct me if i am wrong, but i thinkwe have had 4 winning seasons as a D1 program?

we are still developing in that regard…

Blog:

Ted is right, that stuff will kill the fan base!

And smiles and honey do much more for motivation than vinegar and snarls ever will……………..

Missed that part of the blog.  Ouch. I wonder if he learned that from Doherty?

No, but he will UNDOUBTEDLY have to learn the lesson Doherty learned when allof his players said the "dont want to play for him" as a result of Doherty's being so harsh, negative, and demanding…

we already see that trend developing…

there is a fine line (even as Rex mentioned), and i think he has crossed it?

I mean the pplayers want to learn (thats why they chose Rex), and they arent perfect…

he might want to consider that before snarling, ranting, etc…….

it WILL take a toll…

Re: Time for redemption...

I confess that I don't pay much attention to basketball (though I did watch the FAU women get hammered and the men give away a game when they played at the University of Denver last year). But the comments about the coach's behavior, as well as Ted Hutton's info in his blog, really are disturbing. Even at a hyper-successful program, a coach rarely is this arrogant. At a stumbling program which needs fan base and contributions, it is inexcusable. It simply is not fair to the players, the fans or anyone else. Had I listened to the game (via internet), I would have been pretty put off by his no-show to offer some kind of analysis. Were the Owls ever in the game? Or was it as big a blowout as the final score suggests?

That was a little harsh but I am really getting tired of Rex's way of handling situations, his arrogance appears to be a big problem with the players also.

GO OWLS!
